Our Community Navigators

Community Navigators act as first responders in disaster collaborating with providers to offer patient navigation, interpreter services, translation of proclamations and access to basic services including food, shelter and supplies.

Disaster is not one incident. There is no one appropriate way to assess and mitigate risk. Disaster must be viewed and understood in context, and the culturally appropriate response should be employed to ensure those affected are not retraumatized, or there situations worsened. I will carry forward with me the appreciative, holistic, and strengths-based approach to disaster
